FAQ: Bodyswapping after roleplays in VR causes handsets not to respond?
There is a known issue affecting AI Roleplays where handsets may disconnect after the bodyswap moment. This can prevent interaction within the experience and require a headset reset.
What’s happening?
If the camera angle is changed during the bodyswap moment, the system may lose handset tracking. When this occurs:
- You cannot click or interact with anything in the experience
- The session becomes unresponsive
- A full headset reset is required to continue
When does this occur?
This issue specifically happens:
- After completing an AI Roleplay
- During the bodyswap moment
- When selecting or interacting with the camera button
Workarounds
For Learners
To avoid this issue:
- Do not use the camera button during the bodyswap moment
- Proceed through the experience without changing the camera angle
For Administrators / Facilitators
When guiding learners:
- Instruct users to skip using the camera feature during bodyswap
- If needed, advise learners to skip the bodyswap entirely until the issue is resolved
What should I do if I encounter this issue?
If your handsets disconnect:
- Exit the experience (if possible)
- Restart the headset
- Relaunch the session
