Start Recording button not working

There are a few things that might cause the Start Recording button not to work properly during a module or roleplay:

• Running an outdated version of Bodyswaps (we’re currently on version 3.6.3)
• Device microphone not working or improperly connected
• Microphone permissions not granted to the Bodyswaps app

If you’re running an outdated version of Bodyswaps:

• Update the app via your device app store, or alternatively download the latest version of the app from this page.
• You can find your version number on the loading screen when you first open the app, or in the bottom right-hand corner of the in-app Settings menu:

Checking your device microphone:

• Test the microphone on your device with a voice recording test - this can often be done by navigating to your device’s Settings app and finding the device’s Sound settings
• If you find that the microphone is working properly, please restart Bodyswaps and try again. If you’re still having trouble, please get in touch with support@bodyswaps.co

Checking your microphone permissions:

• Check and grant microphone permissions: Settings > Apps > Bodyswaps > Permissions > Microphone (enable)
