BUG: Class Login Error — "We couldn't load your class content"

A known bug prevents users from opening a class when no roleplay is included in the class assignments, triggering a login error on sign-in. Affects all users on impacted accounts.

Overview

When a user attempts to sign in to a class that has no roleplay included in its assignments, the app fails to load the class content and displays the following error:

"Class login error. We couldn't load your class content, please log out and try joining the class again."

Logging out and rejoining does not resolve the issue. The error is caused by the missing roleplay in the assignment, not by the login itself.


Who is affected

Users (learners) attempting to open a class where the facilitator has not added a standalone roleplay to the class assignments.


Workarounds

There are three options while a permanent fix is in progress:

Option 1 — Add a standalone roleplay to the class assignments

  1. Log in to the Bodyswaps platform as a facilitator or admin.
  2. Open the affected class.
  3. Navigate to the class assignments.
  4. Add at least one standalone roleplay to the assignment list.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Ask the affected user to log out and sign in to the class again.

Option 2 — Downgrade to app version 3.5.3

Option 3 — Contact Bodyswaps support

If adding a roleplay is not appropriate for your class design, Bodyswaps can enable account-level functionality to bypass this issue.

Include the affected class name and account details so the team can apply the fix promptly.
