Known Bug: TeamSTEPPS Simulator Freezes During “Emmanuel’s Cough” Section

We’re aware of a bug affecting the TeamSTEPPS simulator during the 'Emmanuel’s Cough' section.

 

Resolved with app version 3.5.3, download here

What Happens

After Dr. Grace leaves the patient room, you observe a conversation between two avatars. When Emmanuel coughs up blood, the simulation may appear to freeze and does not continue.

Temporary Workaround (PC and Mac Only)

You can manually move past this point:

  1. Press and hold the righthand Shift key.

  2. While holding Shift, press the right arrow (→) key on your keyboard.


This will advance the simulation past the frozen section.

⚠️ This workaround is only available on desktop (PC or Mac). It does not apply to mobile devices.

This is resolved in the 3.5.2 app version for Windows.

Permanent fix coming to all device types the last week of February 2026. App version 3.5.3.
