Technical Requirements

What are the minimum requirements for running Bodyswaps?

Bodyswaps software is delivered as an app that needs to be downloaded and installed on a compatible VR headset, PC or mobile device. 

Minimum Hardware Specifications

VR Headsets

We support the following VR headsets - these are all mobile based.

• Oculus Quest 2* (Consumer), 3 and 3s
• Vive Focus+, Vive Focus 3,
• Pico Neo 3 & 4 **

* Oculus For Business units have been discontinued by Meta are not supported after v2.3.5 of the app.

** Eye tracking is not supported yet on Pico Neo 4

PC Windows Devices

Bodyswaps can be downloaded for PC either via the Microsoft Store or using a signed installer. This is not a VR build and so some functionality is reduced. Please ensure PC's have the following minimum specs:

• Windows 10
• 8GB RAM
• 2.5GB free storage 
• Intel i5 processor or better
• GLES3.2 compatible GPU
• Microphone (headset recommended)
• Speakers or headphones

Android Devices

‌iOS Devices

• iPhone 6S or newer / iPad 8th Gen or better (iOS11)
• 800MB free storage

Web

As a premium service we optionally support streaming of Bodyswaps content direct to the browser from our servers. This requires one of the following browsers:

• Chrome
• Microsoft Edge

This also requires a good internet connection.

Internet Requirements

Bodyswaps requires a modest WiFi internet connection - requiring around 0.36Mbps (Mega bits per second) per device whilst voice recognition functionality is running. 

Please make sure your device has access to the public internet and not blocked by any firewalls.
