      AI Roleplay Guide

      This article will provide the steps you need to customise, complete, and review our new AI Roleplays in Beta.

      AI Roleplays allow learners to practice essential skills in safe, dynamic environments, customized to their needs by educators.

      Requirements

      📌 Ensure your app version is 3.0 or later to customise and assign AI Roleplays in Pathways.

      Setting Up Your AI Roleplay

      Step 1: Navigate to the AI Roleplays Tab

      Open Bodyswaps Go and go to the AI Roleplays tab.

      Step 2: Create a Roleplay

      Click Create Roleplay and select one of the available templates.

      Step 3: Customize Your Template

      Tailor the experience by setting instructions for learners. Depending on the template, you can modify:
      ✔ Goals
      ✔ Difficulty
      ✔ Roles
      ✔ Mood

      Step 4: Save Your Roleplay


      How Learners Access AI Roleplays

      Learners have three ways to access AI Roleplays in Bodyswaps:

      1. Via a Pathway: The facilitator assigns a pathway with a specific AI Roleplay template.

      2. Via a Class: The facilitator assigns the AI Roleplay topic within a class.

      3. Via the 'My Modules' Tab: Learners access the AI Roleplay topic directly.

      1️⃣ Assigning via a Pathway

      Best for: Facilitators who want to assign a specific roleplay template along with other content to their learners.

      Steps:

      1. Navigate to Bodyswaps Go.

      2. Select the Pathways BETA tab.

      3. Create a new Pathway (for detailed steps, see our Pathways Article).

      4. Click "Add a unit!"

      5. Click "Simulators."

      6. Select "Add to pathway" for the simulator topic you'd like to include.

      7. Click "Customise" within the Roleplay unit.

      8. Either:

        • Select an existing template, OR

        • Click "Create New" (top right) to build a new template.

      9. Click "Save Pathway."

      To Assign the Pathway:

      1. Navigate to the class you wish to assign it to.

      2. Select Assignments.

      3. Click Pathways.

      4. Choose the Pathway with your specific roleplay.

      2️⃣ Assigning an AI Roleplay via Classes

      Best for: Facilitators who want learners to see multiple roleplays within a specific topic.

      Steps:

      1. Navigate to the Classes BETA tab.

      2. Select an existing class (for help creating a new class, see our Classes BETA Article).

      3. Click Assignments.

      4. Click "Add a course or module."

      5. Select the Simulators tab.

      6. Click "Add" for the AI Roleplay topic (e.g., Active Listening in Healthcare).

      👉 Learners will see a list of all templates under this topic within your organisation and must select the specific roleplay(s) to complete.

      3️⃣ Accessing via the 'My Modules' Tab

      Best for: Learners who want to self-access an AI Roleplay topic.

      Steps:

      1. Navigate to the My Modules tab.

      2. Find the specific AI Roleplay topic and click Play Module.

      3. Input the code into the Bodyswaps App.

      4. In the app:

        • Click "Simulators."

        • Find the topic, then select the specific simulator template you’d like to access.
