      AI Roleplay Guide [BETA]

      This article will provide the steps you need to customise, complete, and review our new AI Roleplays in Beta.

      AI Roleplays allow learners to practice essential skills in safe, dynamic environments, customized to their needs by educators.

      Requirements

      📌 Ensure your app version is 2.15 or later to access AI Roleplays.

      Available Roleplay Templates

      • Active Listening in Healthcare
      • Debating
      • Coming Soon: Active Listening in Healthcare

      Setting Up Your AI Roleplay

      Step 1: Navigate to the AI Roleplays Tab

      Open Bodyswaps Go and go to the AI Roleplays tab.

      Step 2: Create a Roleplay

      Click Create Roleplay and select one of the available beta templates.

      Step 3: Customize Your Template

      Tailor the experience by setting instructions for learners. Depending on the template, you can modify:
      ✔ Goals
      ✔ Difficulty
      ✔ Roles
      ✔ Mood

      Step 4: Save Your Roleplay

      • Save and Close – Exits the template without updating.
      • Save and Continue – Saves your changes and updates the template.

      Accessing the Roleplay

      Option 1: Bodyswaps Go

      In the My Modules tab:

      1. Click Get Access Code, or
      2. Find the AI Roleplay Simulator in the list of modules and click Actions > Play Module to generate a code.
       

      Option 2: Bodyswaps App

      1. Open the app and enter the access code.
      2. Select AI Roleplay Simulator.
      3. Find your template in the carousel and begin!

       

      Option 3: Access via a Class

      1. Add the AI Roleplay Simulator to a class via the Lesson Planner.
      2. Invite learners to engage with the class.
      3. Guide them to your customised template in the carousel and they can begin!

       

      Note: In the Beta version, all templates that have been made visible to your organisation will appear when you access the AI Roleplay Simulator. 

       

      This could mean that multiple templates will be available to your learner when assigning the simulator, therefore clear template naming and learner instructions are important. 

      Reviewing Transcripts

      Step 1: Submit Your Transcript

      Complete a roleplay and submit the transcript in the Bodyswaps app.

      Step 2: Access Transcripts in Bodyswaps Go

      1. Go to the AI Roleplays tab.
      2. Find the roleplay in the list and click the person icon under the Actions column.

      Step 3: Review & Download

      1. Click the Results icon.
      2. Select the user.
      3. Review or download the transcript.
