VR, PC & Mobile Set Up

This article summarises the essential first steps to take on your Bodyswaps journey.

Step 1: Set up your devices

  • Bodyswaps simulations can be experienced on VR, PC and mobile. See the full list of compatible devices and technical requirements here. Please refer to the VR headset manufacturer's instructions to set up your VR headset.

Step 2: Download the Bodyswaps App

Step 3: Register Devices on Bodyswaps Go

Note: If you have not yet received instructions on how to register with Bodyswaps Go, please visit the Registration & Sign-in article. Registering with Bodyswaps Go will also be covered during your onboarding call!

  • Once a short code has been generated, you will need to enter the shortcode into the Bodyswaps app. Visit the Short codes article to view an in-app capture of the process.
  • If you are using a device for the first time to access Bodyswaps, the device will automatically register. A pop-up message in the simulation will advise you of this.

Note: Only admins will be able to see the inventory list of devices that have used Bodyswaps. By default, devices are identified by a unique ID code, which is a long string of cryptographically generated numbers. More information on the Device Tab can be found here.

Suggested Equipment:

VR Fleet Management System

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) software helps track, secure, and make use of many devices at scale. Arbor XR and ManageXR are current market leaders.

Additional hardware (optional)

  • Charging units and extra batteries (such as RedBox VRAnker Charging Docks)
  • Cleaning systems (such as CleanBoxRedbox VR Uvisan Cabinet
  • Headphones (useful when deploying in a group setting to improve privacy or when using Bodyswaps with your phone).
  • Stable internet connection (consider a mobile router for a ‘moving trolley’ approach or environments with an inconsistent connection)
  • Large screen for casting the experience (essential during the onboarding process for learners)
